Children classes

We all know how much easier

it is to pick up a foreign

language at a young age.

Alouette takes great care in ensuring that children acquire excellent language skills helping build solid foundations of the language for life.

Speak and sing in French

Classes designed for 3 to 11 year olds
Duration 45 minutes
Each class has 6 to 12 children.

Classes for 3 to 11 year olds

Depending on the class, every child has a parent remaining present during the session. Parents follow their child’s progress and are welcome to join in the singing. Other classes are taught without the parents attending the sessions.

Classes in pre-school and school

In all our classes, children are constantly stimulated by their French native teacher through fun activities.
- Children are keen to speak French
- enjoy singing traditional French songs
- reproduce authentic sounds with an excellent accent
- develop a good understanding of the French culture
- discover traditions and customs of France.

«We began attending Alouette when my eldest son was only 3 and we thoroughly enjoy the interactive and fun lessons. My children understand a lot and can speak French with confidence!»
Sophie, mother to Martha and Harry (5 years old and 7 years old)

«Beth really enjoys Alouette. It is a fantastic introduction into learning a foreign language and she still remembers lots of what she learnt. The classes are great fun and a good mix of formal learning, fun games and singing.»
Sara, mother to Beth (4 years old)

«My 4 year old daughter has been going to Alouette lessons for over a year and can sing several songs, count and she knows all her colours and the words for many animals and things! She can tell you her name and age. Her interest has been sparked. Parents can join in the singing, dancing and activities too!»
Karen, mother to Helen (5 years old)

«My grand-daughter, who is 4 years old, attended Alouette lessons last year. The class was small, usually no more than 6 or 7 children and it was customary for a parent to sit in. The Teacher is very cheerful and friendly and encourages the children to learn by a mix of games, singing and dancing. They seemed to learn quite a lot in the course of the year and I would recommend this class to parents who want their children to begin learning a foreign language at a young age.»
Dereck, grand-father to Shikana (4 years old)
